After a layoff at age 52, Sherman found his first job search in years was delivering zero results. After 82 rejections, he knew ageism was finally playing a role in his life. "Over qualified" was the common response when the rare interview took place. At that point, he knew self-assessment, and ultimately self-employment, were the only options. He founded a tech firm while driving for Lyft and Uber and never forgot the role gig work played in stabilizing his finances. Years later, as the tech company's primary focus required a covid era pivot, he launched a promo agency in the spirits and wine industry. It grew to a national operation with over 500 contractors. Now it is time to deliver the lessons learned from others and his own experience to all those over 50 who are ready to take ownership of their futures. He calls it the Second Act Advantage!
